Dedicated to lifelong self-healing and mastery, Debbie Rosas has been a pioneer and a leader in the body-mind fitness industry since 1976. Her extensive exploration of dance, martial arts, fine arts, music, therapy, and healing work inspired and developed into the creation of the Nia Technique, an internationally acclaimed program offered in gyms and fitness clubs, spas, wellness facilities, martial arts centers, dance and theater departments, college-accredited PE programs, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, sexual abuse centers, and cardiac-rehabilitation clinics worldwide. As part of the Nia Technique, Debbie’s work includes the production of eleven DVD workouts and meditation tapes, and over fifty instructional DVDs.
Together with creative partner Carlos Rosas, Debbie has co-authored two books, Non-Impact Aerobics and The Nia Technique, as well as the “Holistic Fitness” section of the AFAA Instructor Training Manual. Today, Nia Technique, Inc. is a thriving training and education business, operating in more than thirty-seven countries with approximately 2,200 Nia teachers worldwide.
