Maybe Comcast Does Care

by Barry Moltz on April 28, 2010

Frank @comcastcares

I have written many scathing posts and book mentions about the lousy customer service that many pseudo monopolies like Comcast offers. After having to schedule 4 appointments for Comcast (and them not showing up for the first 3) to install cable service at my home in Michigan, we never got off on a good start. Comcast seemingly gets good marks on twitter for monitoring their brand and responding (see @comcastcares).

So this week, I called Comcast with trepidation for a long wait time on a billing question. To my surprise, my call was answered immediately and they could not have been more helpful. Now let’s just hope I don’t have an internet outage where I need to get a technician out to the house…

I never call Comcast, I only tweet them. Then they end up calling you!

Also, if you ever wan to test the power of Twitter or demo to someone what it’s like to get a response in Twitter, mention Comcast somewhere in the tweet. I did!
