I, too, spent many a Sunday (after church) eating at Little Man Lamberts. We would have the "plate lunch" special. One of the waitresses, Melba, lived two houses down from us. She would always bring my brothers and I homemade goodies from Lamberts. It's a great tradition in Sikeston. "Throwed Rolls" has become a trademark all over the U.S. Your story sure brings back great memories!!

Loved the Lamberts Cafe article. I've been there many times. When Norman was living and he would see our family at one of the long tables , he would send every one of us a complimentary banana pudding (Yum Yum!) I love the rolls and the cinnamon rolls are to die for.

Went to "Little Man's" many times as a child. Nothing like it. I can still taste the chicken and dumplings that we carried out regularly on Sunday after church. My dad was also a regular at the "table" about 5:am before work. Have been "Throwed" many rolls over the years. It was a necessity for Norman in "Little Mans" because he couldn't move around to all the tables. Thanks for the memories.
